Seeking a BIM / CAD Specialist near Heathrow Airport, West London.
Location: Bath Road, Heathrow, UB7
Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite)
Contract Type: Contract with strong temp-to-perm potential
Rate: £43.00 - £50.00 per hour (experience dependent). PAYE only. Plus holiday pay in addition.
Security: Landside (with potential for temporary or full airport pass)
We are seeking an experienced BIM (Building information modelling) / CAD Specialist to support a portfolio of NEC (new engineering contract) projects at Heathrow Airport, working within one of the UK's most technically demanding 3D BIM environments.
This role is heavily focused on 3D BIM modelling using Revit and plays a critical part in the design, update, and governance of digital engineering information across the Heathrow estate.
You will work closely with engineering and project teams, contributing high-quality models and drawings that meet Heathrow Airport's strict BIM standards.
While primarily office-based near Heathrow, the role operates on a hybrid basis due to the specialist nature of the work.

Main Responsibilities:
Produce and update BIM-compliant CAD drawings and Revit models for Heathrow Airport projects
Design new products and improve existing designs using advanced CAD/BIM tools
Create and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, layouts, and device placements
Ensure all outputs comply with Heathrow's 3D modelling and BIM governance requirements
Upload, manage, and maintain design data and revisions within BIM environments
Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to support timely project delivery
Review products, parts, and processes for cost efficiency, constructability, and reliability
Manage multiple workstreams with a high degree of accuracy and autonomy
Provide guidance to junior team members or external design resources where required
Participate in NEC project meetings and coordinate ongoing design updates
ESSENTIAL and Non-negotiable Requirements:
Strong BIM capability
Expert-level Revit proficiency
Proven experience producing both 2D and 3D CAD models
Experience working within BIM models that integrate into site-wide digital environments
Ability to produce or update wiring documents, layouts, and engineering schematics
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline
Solid understanding of design processes, engineering standards, and multidisciplinary coordination
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within engineering teams
Strong judgement, problem-solving ability, and design creativity
Desirable Industry Experience:
Fire detection systems
BMS / automation systems
Building services or MEP environmentsStrong BIM and Revit capability is prioritised over sector-specific experience.

Role is primarily landside; occasional site access may require temporary or full airport passes
