Job role: Trust Finance Assistant
Salary: FMAT Band C4 - £27,364.00 p.a. FTE
(salary for term time plus 4 weeks - £25,687.01 pro rata p.a.)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday – Thursday – 8.00am – 4.30pm
Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm
(This is a year-round role with the potential to consider Term Time plus 4 weeks for the right candidate)
Contract Status: Permanent
Contract Start Date: June/July 2026

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Trust Business Team, supporting the effective management of the Trust’s finances and helping to ensure resources are used efficiently to deliver the Trust’s strategic priorities and long-term sustainability.
Working closely with the Trust HR & Business Director, Trust Finance Manager, and Heads of School, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the professional operation of the Trust’s finance function, providing high-quality financial support, maintaining accurate financial processes, and contributing to the smooth and efficient running of financial operations across the Trust.
The successful candidate will:
1. Hold an AAT Level 3 (or equivalent accounting qualification)
2. Have previous experience of working in a busy finance department or team
3. Excellent IT skills – Excel and Google Classrooms
