Our busy Conveyancing Department handles a wide range of residential property transactions, and we are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team at the Barnsley office.
Key Responsibilities
· Assisting fee earners with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions, from instruction to completion
· Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to ensure a smooth process
· Drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
· Conducting searches and reviewing title documents
· Managing files and keeping accurate records on the case management system
Key Skills
· 6 months experience in an administrative role (experience in a legal environment is desirable but not essential)
· Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Experience of working to deadlines and able to prioritise your own workload efficiently
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· A proactive and client-focused approach
· IT literate with proficiency in Outlook and Word

Schedule: Monday to Friday in the office.
Full or part time hours will be considered for suitable candidates. Salary will be dependent on experience.
