Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service and the recruitment process can be found in the Information for candidates document and the Supporting Information.
This is a fixed-term position until June 2027, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
We are seeking an experienced Prescribing Support Technician to support a key project related to HSCPs’ Primary Care Improvement Plans and the ongoing transformational agenda in General Practice. The role supports the GP Re-provisioning Programme, which will migrate over 200 GP clinical systems to new cloud-hosted software. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Programme Team, GP practices, and HSCP staff.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and possesses excellent communication and IT skills. Proficiency with datasets, data analysis, and Microsoft Office is essential. The role involves working independently and as part of a team, with a flexible working pattern including office, practice-based, and home working.
You will work closely with healthcare professionals to leverage digital technology in transforming services into a modern, integrated health and social care system.
If you are interested in contributing to the implementation of cutting-edge systems within Primary Care in Scotland's largest health board, we encourage your application.
