You will support the mission of Yeovil College to create life‑changing opportunities and shape an exciting future through outstanding education and collaboration. You will deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment across A Level and Access to HE Sociology programmes while contributing to the wider Social Sciences curriculum, including Psychology, Criminology, Counselling, and Politics. Your role involves planning engaging lessons, using inclusive strategies to challenge and inspire learners, and providing feedback that drives academic progress. Beyond teaching, you will support curriculum development, enrichment activities, and student progression as a Personal Tutor, guiding learners towards their ambitions and future success. What we're looking for:
* Evidence of planning and delivering high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment for post‑16 learners.
* Degree (or equivalent) in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTS) or willingness to work towards.
* A passion for teaching and inspiring learners.
* Experience of supporting young people to learn and develop new skills.
* The ability to work successfully within a team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
