About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Jazz Tutor specializing in drums, percussion (including tuned percussion), or jazz harmonica to join our vibrant music faculty. In this role, you will deliver high-quality tuition, inspiring students across a range of abilities to develop their technical skills, improvisational fluency, and stylistic awareness in jazz performance. You will play a key part in nurturing aspiring creative musicians, guiding students through structured learning and exploratory practice. Experience teaching SEND students is advantageous but not essential.
About you:
You will be able to deliver engaging learning sessions for diverse learner groups and ability levels, ensuring high learner satisfaction. You should be able to discuss ideas for developing and promoting sessions/courses to increase learner numbers with the programme manager. Responsibilities include assessment, educational guidance, preparing learning materials and assignments, providing feedback, marking students' work, and course administration. You must have English and Maths minimum Level 2 qualifications, and a qualification or industry experience in your specialist area.
