As MWH Treatment’s service to its client, Thames Water, continues to flourish into AMP8, we are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with Senior Civil Engineers at various career levels. Based in the Thames Water region, you will report directly to the Regional Discipline Lead (Civil).
Our programme of work, across a variety of water and wastewater schemes, is expected to be in the region of £400M.

Key responsibilities will include:
1. Produce design layouts that are cost-effective, meet the requirements of the specification, and can be constructed and commissioned effectively. All costs associated with the design and subsequent construction should be considered, including design time, material costs, erection costs, and impacts on other disciplines.
2. Ensure standard practices are utilized where possible. Maintain competitiveness and provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
3. Work to procedures and processes to ensure the ongoing development of the department. Assist in developing, monitoring, and reviewing these procedures and processes.
4. Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth operation of the department.
5. Coordinate designs with all other disciplines, both internal and external, to ensure integrated and efficient design processes for the benefit of the contract.
6. Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
7. Assure customer satisfaction by working within a culture that recognizes customer satisfaction as key to achieving objectives, considering all beneficiaries of our processes.
8. Assist in supervising and developing staff and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
9. Minimize waste from all departmental activities.
10. Ensure environmental considerations are incorporated into designs.
11. Ensure health and safety requirements are fully integrated into design processes.
