Job Summary
The MSK and Major Trauma directorate is advertising for a Service General Manager to lead the Elective Orthopaedics and Sports and Exercise Medicine services at NUH. This role is primarily based at Nottingham City Hospital, but the post holder will be expected to work at Queen's Medical Centre and the Nottingham Treatment Centre as required.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsibly and accountably manage the operational performance of Elective Orthopaedics and Sports and Exercise Medicine.
* Collaborate with the Head of Service and nursing lead to drive through ambitious targets to continually improve operational and financial performance.
* Provide strong visible leadership in partnership with senior staff, ensuring the delivery of world‑class care.
Person Specification
Experience Essential
* Proven service management experience.
* Management of a specialty involving theatres.
* First degree or equivalent experience.
* Proven management experience of RTT performance metrics.
Desirable
* 2 years experience at service manager level.
* Proven management experience of a high volume RTT specialty.
