Family Solicitor
A well-established firm in Tyne and Wear is looking to appoint a confident and driven Family Solicitor to take a leading role and make a meaningful, long‑term impact within its growing practice.
Location: Tyne and Wear | Salary: GBP 40,000+ (DOE) | Required PQE: 5+ years in family law.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the firm's family law department.
* Manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, including divorce, financial remedy work, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, and pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements.
* Work independently while delivering clear, commercially sound advice.
* Maintain the highest standards of client care.
* Contribute to business development and build strong local relationships.
* Generate new instructions for the growing practice.
* Mentor and support an enthusiastic NQ solicitor, ensuring consistent quality and development.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years’ PQE in family law.
* Proven experience handling a broad range of privately funded family matters.
* Confident managing a full caseload independently.
* Commercially aware with excellent client‑care skills.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
* Proactive, motivated, and able to take ownership of a growing department.
