You'll be based in our
Essex office
with regular visits to the
Suffolk site

As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our project. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing the design process during both the pre-construction and construction phases. Interrogating enquiry documents, specifically the Employer's Requirements. Producing a Contractor's Proposal document in collaboration with various internal departments. Overseeing our design process through external consultants. Driving innovative and cost-effective solutions into the design. Progressing design issues within strict timelines and ensuring designers meet information delivery dates. Attending tender launch, adjudication, and launch meetings as required. What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have: Experience in delivering high-value, complex design work from a main contractor perspective. The ability to organize, plan, program, and manage workloads effectively. A solid understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures. Knowledge of different Client procurement routes. Experience with site/contract procedures (this is a plus!). At Kier, we believe in potential!
