Contract: Inside IR35 £25.15 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Clearance Requirement: MUST have current SC clearance
Purpose of Role:
To provide additional resource for the client’s hardware support function at their Raynesway site, contributing to the operational delivery of break-fix support, hardware builds, and BAU software ticket resolution.
Job Description:
As a IT Technician, you will be responsible for supporting onsite IT hardware and software services. You will work closely with the Hardware team and broader IT function to maintain business continuity for end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide break-fix support and diagnostics for hardware, including laptops and desktops.
* Conduct hardware builds and configurations for new equipment.
* Operate a Tech Bar 5x per week on a rotational schedule, offering face-to-face user support.
* Resolve 2nd line software issues, including remote desktop troubleshooting and ticket management.
* Collaborate with other IT teams and escalate issues as needed.
* Maintain documentation of fixes and ensure ITSM systems are kept up to date.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar desktop support or technician role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows desktop environments and hardware configuration.
* Experience with break-fix diagnostics and desktop/laptop builds.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, especially in a customer-facing support environment (Tech Bar).
* Proficient in remote support tools and ITSM ticketing systems.
* Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Must have current SC clearance due to security and clearance requirements.
