Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction and renovation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry and joinery to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment. The position involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial sites, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery.
* Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, cabinetry, and mouldings with precision.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects.
* Perform roofing tasks including laying tiles or slates as required.
* Carry out heavy lifting of materials and components safely, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing, electrical tasks, or other related trades as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
* Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Skills
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery.
* Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers.
* Experience operating power tools including drills, sanders, and saws.
* Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials.
* Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Familiarity with construction painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical work is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and plans.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
