IT Support Engineer // 1st Line Support // Windows 10 refresh // Migration // up to 3 Months contract // Felsted (onsite) // £20-24/hours
Reed Technology are working with a client in Felsted who URGENTLY require a IT Support Engineer. You will be handling first-line support and laptop/desktop builds (from image) for a significant device refresh project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle support requests via phone and email.
* Resolve IT issues and provide user training.
* Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and network devices.
* Monitor and maintain IT hardware and software.
* Manage software licences.
* Liaise with vendors and external service providers.
* Collaborate with the Works Department on IT specifications.
* Participate in a call-out rota and work one Saturday morning a month.
* Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.
Essential Skills:
* Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows (10).
* Experience with PC hardware configuration (MDT/WDS).
* Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure.
* Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
