Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant ready for your next exciting challenge? A wonderful Secondary school in Newcastle are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. You’ll be supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as other learning difficulties.

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support studentswith ASD on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Implement personalised learning strategies for student that may be distantand hard to engage
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive classroom environment.
* Encourage independence, build confidence, and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD. We welcome applicants fromoutside of education with transferrable skills such as residential childcare workers or carers.
* Approaches challenges with patience, understanding, and resilience.
* Is enthusiastic and proactive in helping young learners succeed.
* Can build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Holds a valid DBS check (or is happy to obtain one).
