Project Manager – Electrical (South)
Location: Home-based with regular regional travel
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Salary: c.£50,000 plus £5,800 car allowance

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager – Electrical to lead essential installation and maintenance programmes from planning through to completion. You’ll ensure high-quality delivery, strong contractor performance, and full compliance with safety and regulatory standards
About the Role
As our Project Manager – Electrical, you’ll oversee a range of electrical installation, testing, and maintenance projects across our homes. You'll coordinate contractors, internal teams, and suppliers—ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Your work will include:
* Managing electrical installations and supporting projects involving gates, barriers, door entry, lighting, and alarms.
* Overseeing maintenance programmes, carrying out site inspections, condition surveys, and compliance checks.
* Ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Maintaining accurate project, certification, and asset data.
* Using data insights and resident feedback to shape and improve service delivery.
* You’ll also provide expert advice on electrical systems and play a key role in strengthening how we plan and deliver safety‑critical works—making homes safer and residents’ experiences better.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance requirements.
* Experience delivering construction or electrical projects in residential or similar environments.
* Contractor management expertise, with experience of JCT/NEC contracts.
* Strong financial management skills.
* The ability to carry out site inspections, condition reports, and H&S checks.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Confidence using digital and asset management systems.
* A commitment to resident safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* HNC in Construction or equivalent experience.
* Professional accreditation (MCIOB, MRICS) or working towards this.
* Technical electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition).
* Commitment to ongoing CPD.
* Ability to travel across the region.
* Desirable: Knowledge of Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Gates, Barriers, Door Entry Systems
