Estates and Facilities Manager
Location: FE College Group based in ManchesterSalary: £46,472 - £50,939 per annum
Are you an experienced Estates and Facilities professional looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to lead and manage all hard and soft facilities services across a large, multi-site organisation.
About the Role:
* Managing the estates and facilities team to deliver high-quality maintenance, cleaning, security, and operational services.
* Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Managing budgets, contracts, and procurement processes to achieve best value.
* Driving sustainability initiatives and reducing the carbon footprint across the estate.
* Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and service users.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong leadership and team management experience.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation and contractor control.
* Experience managing estates and facilities services, including maintenance and operational projects.
* Excellent organisational and negotiation skills.
* Relevant qualifications in building services, facilities management, or health and safety.
* Experience within an education setting - I.e Further Education or Higher Education
Desirable:
* Professional membership (CIOB, MBIFM, etc.)
* Experience within an educational or similar environment.
