Mobile Roaming Security Officer – SIA Licence is essential to be considered for the role

This role aims to support the client in delivering industry-leading services. As the forefront of the business, you are expected to provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders. You will be deployed to high-risk areas/locations to support our client where needed and take a proactive approach to modern guarding.
Location: Reading + Surrounding areas
Hourly Rate: £12.70
Hours: 40 Hours
Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 rolling days 14:30 - 22:30, alternative weekends
Essential: Full UK Manual driving license is required; a vehicle is provided and based at a specific site. Phone & Tablet are supplied with the role.
Main Responsibilities:
* Flexibility to work across multiple locations within reasonable distance using the company vehicle.
* Patrolling assigned stores, prioritising activities based on intelligence.
* Providing high visibility and reassurance in and around client premises, engaging with staff and the public.
* Liaising with management, local authorities, and police when applicable.
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and customers.
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy.
* Conducting searches of colleagues and contractors as required.
* Performing security checks on premises.
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders via radio and digital reporting tools.
* Incident reporting and documentation.
* Identifying trends of criminal activity and communicating with the Crime Desk.
* Operating Body Worn Cameras in accordance with safety policies.
Desirable:
* SIA accreditation.
Essential:
* Experience in security, particularly in retail guarding services.
* Full UK Manual driving license.
* Valid SIA license.
* Strong communication skills.
* Smart appearance.
* Ability to handle conflict professionally.
Knowledge and Experience:
At least 1 year of front-line security guarding experience.
Personal Skills and Qualities:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Positive work ethic.
* Good IT knowledge.
* Confidence in high-pressure situations.
