Primary Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? Do you have experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting? We are currently recruiting on behalf of our partnered schools in the Stafford ST15 area, who are looking for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN on a long-term basis. About the Role: You'll be working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive both academically and emotionally. This is a full-time, term-time role, ideally suited for someone looking for consistency and the chance to build strong relationships within a nurturing school environment. Responsibilities / Duties: Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Use a range of communication and behaviour management strategies Support pupils' emotional and social development Monitor progress and report back to teaching staff and parents Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environmentRequirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in SEN support A good understanding of various special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH) Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Benefits: Competitive daily rate: £90 - £95 per day Long-term placement offering stability and consistency Opportunity to work in a supportive and welcoming school community Ongoing support and professional development through our agency Potential for permanent contract for the right candidateNext Steps: If you're enthusiastic about supporting young learners and ready to start a new role in a rewarding school environment, we'd love to hear from you!
