We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Lending Product Manager.
HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) business supports both international expatriate clients (HSBC Expat) and local customers across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. This role offers an opportunity to become a key member of the Retail Banking Product team based in Jersey, Channel Islands.
The role holder will be responsible for implementing strategy and managing day-to-day lending products.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating key business metrics (profit, brand, resource, cost, performance) to drive revenue, identify commercial opportunities, and ensure initiatives are customer-centric, sustainable, and scalable.
2. Generating business cases to support the development and launch of new products, projects, and initiatives to grow key market segments and achieve business objectives.
3. Overseeing and governing lending processes, focusing on lending policy, process, risk, and control management, including planning, reporting, and performance monitoring.
4. Ensuring lending policies and processes are fair, compliant, customer-centric, and commercially sustainable across all customer lifecycle stages.
5. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners, managing dependencies between teams, including UK-based colleagues supporting the CIIOM business and global product management.
6. Making prompt and practical business decisions, driving innovation based on customer feedback, analyzing and measuring process effectiveness, and developing sustainable improvements to increase customer satisfaction.
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
1. Experience in Product Management, Product and Proposition Development, and/or Project Management.
2. Proven analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams.
3. Experience in balance sheet management with strong numerical and analytical skills.
4. Ability to analyze detailed financial, market, and competitor data to make informed recommendations.
5. Skill in interpreting management information to tell a customer-focused story and identify opportunities for service improvements, developing innovative solutions to drive customer strategies.
