Job description:
We are seeking to recruit a University Teacher to join the School of Allied Health Professions, Pharmacy, Nursing and Midwifery. This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues to deliver the pre-registration BSc Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Degree Apprenticeship programme. The BSc SLT Apprenticeship runs alongside our campus-based BMedSci Speech and Language Therapy and MMedSci Speech and Language Therapy (full and part-time) programmes. The apprenticeship route to professional qualification allows learners to combine work and study. University teaching and learning are delivered via live, synchronous online sessions.
We seek candidates with the vision and drive to help us achieve our goal of delivering an outstanding student experience and to prepare our graduates to advance understanding in Speech and Language Therapy and lead in our profession.
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: children’s speech, language and communication needs; adults with communication or eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties; evidence-based practice; clinical methods and intervention; and transitioning to professional practice. Other areas of expertise will also be considered. The role involves regular online meetings with apprentices and clinical mentors, student recruitment, and student support.
