My client are a specialist roofing and cladding contractor supplying and installing a wide range of roofing and cladding systems across the UK. They work on student accommodation, high-rise developments, industrial, education, healthcare, and leisure projects across the country.
They are seeking a Procurement Assistant who can demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills to join their team.
As a Procurement Assistant, your role will include:
Assist in identifying potential suppliers for materials, equipment, and services required for projects.
Coordinate the purchasing process, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing for the company.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that necessary materials are always available for ongoing projects. This may involve forecasting demand and coordinating with project managers.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and correspondence with suppliers. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Assist in controlling procurement costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities, monitoring expenses, and seeking alternative suppliers or materials when necessary.Salary and benefits:
