Breckland Alliance Primary Care Network has an opportunity for a finance assistant to join our busy practice support team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on a part-time basis, for 15 hours per week, on a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover. The main responsibilities of the role include: Processing supplier invoices and ensuring appropriate authorisation Maintaining the purchase ledger and supporting payment runs Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash using QuickBooks Recording customer payments and inputting claims Maintaining accurate electronic financial records and filing systems Assisting with payroll journals and partner drawings Providing cover for the Finance Officer when required Supporting general finance administration as needed About the Candidate We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service. Applicants should have the following skills and experience: Essential: Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good IT skills Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Desirable: Experience in a healthcare or NHS-related environment Understanding of financial processes such as reconciliations and accruals Experience with accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks) Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues. All applicants should ensure that they live within reasonable commuting distance.
