An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and forward-thinking construction consultancy. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop within a supportive and experienced team, working on a diverse range of projects across the built environment.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing cost estimates, tender documentation, and budget planning
* Carry out measurements and valuations of construction works
* Support the management of procurement processes and contract administration
* Monitor project costs, variations, and financial progress
* Attend site visits, client meetings, and project briefings
* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
* Provide general support to senior quantity surveyors on live projects
About the Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or currently studying)
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and construction cost software (e.g. CostX, Bluebeam)
* Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
* Ambition to progress toward RICS chartership (APC support provided)
