Teaching Assistant SEN – Home Tuition
Role Overview:
* Location: Bromsgrove (in the student's home)
* Hours: 32.5 hours per week
* Pay: £18 per hour (contract)
You’ll be working closely alongside a qualified tutor to support a neurodivergent young person. The role is primarily based in the home, with:
* 1 day a week at Forest School
* 1 day a week at a local community group
Key Responsibilities:
* Support engagement, communication, and regulation using sensory and movement-based strategies
* Build trust and encourage learner-led participation
* Maintain a consistent, calm, and supportive presence
Essential Experience:
* Supporting children with sensory processing needs, demand avoidance (PDA), and speech/language needs
* Working in 1:1 or alternative education settings
* Trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice
