Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on rail wagons and associated components. Fabricate and weld mild steel plate (3mm–35mm thickness) depending on component requirements. Read and interpret technical drawings to deliver precise fabrication and assembly. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality management systems at all times. Undertake modifications and repairs to wagons and bespoke containers as required. Requirements Proven experience in MIG welding. Competence in performing a 6mm fillet weld test (to be assessed at interview). Experience in fabrication within heavy engineering or rail environments. Strong commitment to safety and quality in all work undertaken.
