Job Description
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all commercial deals are booked and customer offers issued within agreed SLAs. It sits within the Finance Operations Team and is responsible for the true up of customer promotions and management of the balance sheet reconciliation and ageing clearance.The key responsibilities for the Commercial Financial Analyst role are:
3. Ensure that all bookings are processed and offers issued to customers as approved by the business
4. Ensure fair and accurate accrual bookings in line with accounting standards
5. Responsibility for the management of the balance sheet reconciliation and ageing clearance
6. Review all bookings post-promotion and calculate any P&L / BS impact for reported sell out and work with the Commercial and FP&A teams to ensure this is factored into the SD forecasts in a timely manner
7. Manage the process of accounting for sales deductions and support the divisions
8. Ensure that these costs are completely and accurately recorded, correctly classified, that spend is appropriately justified and within budget/authority limits, and that supporting processes are efficient and effective
9. Working with AR team to validate and process of customer claims received and management of account accruals
10. Support Commercial Finance Managers with data requests
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you should have:
11. An academic degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
12. Previous experience in a similar role within the Technology & Telecoms or FMCG sector
13. Hands on experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP)
14. Exceptional attention to detail with data transposing
15. Ability to work in a high pressure environment, take quick and effective decisions and direct others
16. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
17. Proven track record in demonstrating accountability and have a proactive approach
18. Strong reporting skills, display key information and convey messages clearly, concisely and with impact
19. Work well under pressure, with good decision making skills under tight deadlines
