SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire Salary: £83 - £100 per day Start Date: September 2025 GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work at Secondary Schools in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2025. SEN Teaching Assistants Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of complex learning needs. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans. Use non-verbal and alternative communication strategies to engage and support learners. Support class teachers in planning and delivering lessons and learning activities. Contribute to monitoring and assessing progress. SEN Teaching Assistants Requirements: Right to work in the UK. Prior experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant. Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Have patience, empathy, and a positive approach to helping children. Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and techniques to manage challenging behavior is advantageous. Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
