Role and Responsibilities
Our Teacher of English role presents a brilliant opportunity to play a pivotal part in the improvement journey of our academy. Our English results are improving at great pace and you will be able to enjoy teaching students who are keen to learn and who will value your enthusiasm and love of the subject. Your inspirational Head of Department is ambitious for better and better outcomes for our students and she really believes in the joy and value of English. Curriculum and Resources
With an English curriculum that is developed centrally and adapted by each academy, we are able to offer a robust, relevant and expertly created learning pathway. We have extensive materials for staff to use and adapt and we support students with regularly updated Knowledge Organisers. We also use online platforms to support learning such as GCSE Pod. We also offer A Level English and GCSE and A Level Media studies which gives our students the opportunity to specialise and thrive before progressing to university, apprenticeships or employment.
