Pay & Hours
Rate £12.71 per hour with a 39-hour working week over 5 days (Monday to Sunday). Flexible working hours may be discussed to accommodate needs where possible.
Job Role
As a Supervisor you will work alongside the team preparing fresh ingredients and producing sandwiches, baguettes and other food products in line with Company standards, while providing excellent customer service and selling high quality fresh food. The successful candidate will be trained to Wenzel’s Company standards and be eligible for future progression. A supervisor will assist the Shop Manager with day-to-day running of the store, supervise the team, drive sales, control costs and deliver profit, and develop the shop team to build a loyal customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
* Receive and check daily deliveries.
* Assist with branch stock and produce management.
* Maintain shop displays.
* Maintain excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
* Prepare food in line with specifications.
* Food and produce quality control.
* Maintain high hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
* Work efficiently within a team.
* Cash handling and till operation.
* Open or close the shop when required; run shifts at various times during the week.
* Drive sales and minimise wastage.
* Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
* Experience in food production is advantageous but not essential, as full ongoing training will be provided.
