They will start a 2-week induction covering the principles of the apprenticeship, Induction to programme and additional courses such as: IOSH Working Safely Manual Handling Abrasive Wheels Slinging Equality & Diversity Prevent Agenda Introduction to Lean The apprenticeship will be a 4-year training programme where the candidate will be required to attend In-Comm Training Service in Aldridge 3 days a week for the first 2 years of their apprenticeship which will includes practical and theory, and then one day a week for the following 2 years. Learners start with off the job training covering 2.5 days a week at In-Comm Aldridge and then spending 2.5 days a week on the job at Swish. The successful apprentice will work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) and begin their Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) this knowledge element spans the whole of the programme. The applicant will need to be fully committed to both the education, skills and training of the apprenticeship before completing their end point assessment at the end of the Apprenticeship.
