The Division is seeking to appoint a new research and teaching academic health economist (1.0fte) with knowledge of the design and use of the economic methods in the evaluation of health and social care interventions.

You will be primarily based in the Manchester Centre for Health Economics. We are seeking to appoint a new research and teaching academic to complement our existing staff team in the Manchester Centre for Health Economics, Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care. The post holder will mainly provide health economics-relevant teaching, research supervision and academic support on the module on economics of health, MSc in Economics. The applicant is also encouraged to contribute to other teaching programmes, for example the MSc in Economics and MBChB Medicine degree programmes.

The post holder will also be expected to develop and lead their own research programme that focuses on the development and application of econometric/modelling methods and use of routinely collected and trial data.

The successful candidate is expected to work with large and diverse research teams including, for example, other health economists, clinicians, imaging scientists, molecular scientists, biostatisticians, informaticians, implementation scientists, service users and commissioners.
