We are recruiting for an accountancy practice based in Telford. They are looking for a Client Accountant to be responsible for accounts preparation for a range of limited companies and sole traders.
Working as part of a friendly team, your responsibilities will include:
* Manual double entry bookkeeping.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Preparing working papers to trial balance level, including prepayments, accruals, and depreciation.
* Communicating with clients to resolve accounting/bookkeeping issues.
* Completing VAT returns.
* Completing and submitting tax returns.
* Drafting financial statements for various business entities.
* Communicating with HMRC online to set up PAYE schemes and VAT registrations.
* Communicating with HMRC both by telephone and online to resolve queries.
Skills and Experience
* Strong experience in an accountancy practice, with a proven track record in accounts preparation and tax compliance.
* Proficiency in accounting software, including Xero or QuickBooks.
* Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships effectively.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
