Its Europe B2B Media Solutions business unit has the mission to improve the presence of LG’s Professional Display Solutions in the strategic European vertical markets, by offering total solutions to international large end customers. To further support its growth we are currently seeking the newest innovator to join our dynamic team as Business Development Manager, dedicated to the Education vertical market.


As EU Education BDM you will focus on developing and implementing a go-to-market strategy for each sub-vertical of Education. You will be responsible for its pipeline and sales growth by targeting existing and new accounts across Europe, either directly or via vertically specialized system integrators.


Key Roles & Responsibilities


* Analyse, segment and target untapped market areas of each Education sub-vertical
* Define the ecosystem and the stakeholders of the target key accounts and develop activities to increase LG's presence in each sub-vertical either directly or by vertical specialized system integrators or value added resellers
* Identify new demand in the assigned vertical sub-industries by key account management and vertical ecosystem partners’ networking
* Collaborate with the Information Display EU Business leader and Solution team in order to develop more attractive offerings to the sub-vertical
* In case a solution adaptation is not possible, develop a customer offering based not only on the internal portfolio of LG, but also on external components and services with partnerships that can make LG's offering more competitive and more profitable
* Support and guide the country sales organizations to penetrate locally each sub-vertical by providing presentations, market data and trainings
* Define the activity plan to increase presence of LG in the industry events either directly or via partners
* Deliver weekly update on activity and opportunity forecast. Follow up on Business Plan and several execution targets
* Utilize the CRM system to keep track of the activities for the opportunities in which he/she works and provide transparent reporting to all internal stakeholders
* Collaborate with logistics and service department to follow up or develop processes in order to maintain a high service level and customer satisfaction during sales execution and after sales.
* Role will be located in the UK with an expected 50% travel requirement.



Required qualifications, skills and experience


* 3 to 5 years' business development / sales international experience in the Education sub-verticals (University, K-12), preferably in IT solutions or Hardware System Solutions with LED or Displays in functions of Business Development, Key Account Management, Pre-Sales
* Bachelor in Business Administration Bachelor, Marketing or other related field. MBA can be of added value
* Strategic acumen and ability to understand and adapt to the B2B ecosystem (VAR, SI and End Customer) in the Education vertical
* Strong analytical skills to articulate complex issues and solutions with concrete actions and measurable results
* Leading personality able to inspire, engage and lead by example his local colleagues and his customers
* Able to build trustful relationships in C-level of End Customer and SI
* Excellent communication and presentation Skills
* Results driven with proven track record
* Innovative and out of the box thinker
* Entrepreneurial and proactive able to work across functions, business units and countries
* Strong experience in developing new accounts (End Customer / SI) and solution selling
* Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Knowledge of other European languages will be valued, such as German, French, Italian or Spanish.
