This is a part-time, permanent position at our Newcastle-under-Lyme store. Core hours are 20 per week, including shifts on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Friday.

Our Auto Technicians are technically skilled and experienced in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring we impress every Halfords customer. This role is vital in delivering a great customer experience, providing a wide range of expert vehicle fitting services across car parts and technology. You will carry out most of this work yourself and oversee the training of other team members. All work is performed in our car park to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in practical problem-solving, working quickly and efficiently, will ensure our customers never want to shop elsewhere! Ideally, you already have experience in a retail or automotive/mechanic environment, but if you can demonstrate expert practical skills and experience tailoring your approach in a customer-focused sales environment, we can help you develop further.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Technical knowledge and expertise in fitting car parts and technology, including stereos and dash cams
* Experience in providing customers with tailored solutions for their needs
* An interest in our range of products and services
* Excellent communication skills with all types of customers and colleagues
* The ability to understand customer needs quickly and accurately
* A proactive attitude in assisting customers
* Experience delivering excellent customer service, ideally in retail or automotive settings
* Experience working towards and achieving sales targets
* Strong planning and prioritization skills
* Willingness to share expertise with others
* Availability to work on a rota basis, including weekends
