Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Forest of Dean
Daily Rate: £90 - £120 per day
Hours: 8.30 til 3.30 (some flexibility available)
Start: September 2025 (Ad hoc, short-term, long-term work available)
Protocol Education are looking to build a pool of Teaching Assistants who are looking to work in schools in and around the Forest of Dean. The schools range from small village mixed form entry, 1 form and 2 form entry schools, so something for everyone.
About the Role
Teaching assistants are required to provide education support service to pupils within the classroom on a 1-1 basis or small groups in order to enable them to access the curriculum as independently as possible.
Key Task Areas and Responsibilities
* To support the class teacher/tutor in order to ensure the delivery of a high-quality education for all students
* To ensure that the available equipment and resources are used, stored and maintained efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff
* To support the class teacher and/or tutor in organising the classroom, its resources, student groupings and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for students with autistic spectrum disorder
Experience
* Working with children in and education setting or similar environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
