Salary: Circa £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Bristol / Stevenage (relocation package may be offered)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

The opportunity:
MKDA’s Bristol based Software Quality Assurance team is looking for an engineer to develop their process‑centric quality assurance skills by being part of the wider Quality Assurance community within MBDA. You will support a diverse range of missile programmes and work alongside the UK Engineering Directorate’s software development teams to ensure that MBDA’s hi‑tech weapon systems are developed to the required level of quality and delivered to trusted partners around the world. What we're looking for from you:
* Ideally have an understanding and background in software development, full life cycle and quality assurance within a process‑based design and development environment – we will consider people from a diverse range of backgrounds and industries.
* Knowledge of software processes including national and international standards and assurance requirements.
* Auditing experience would be advantageous.
* Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across all programmes.
* Collaborative yet objective approach with an ability to influence change when required.
* Ability to lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks and critical issues, and provide input to monthly reports.
* Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
* Remain calm under pressure and cope well with unexpected changes.
* Work independently as part of a functional and integrated team.
* Ideally have an Engineering Degree, or equivalent, with an understanding of new and appropriate technologies or relevant experience.
* Experience or knowledge of configuration management, documentation and requirements management systems is highly beneficial.
