The Opportunity

Glanbia is currently seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst. This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the FP&A Manager.

The base location of the role will be Waterside, Citywest with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance

At Glanbia Nutritionals Inc., our portfolio centers around dairy and non-dairy nutritional ingredients. We co-innovate and deliver ingredient solutions and precision premixes for use in the mainstream food and beverage, infant and clinical, and functional nutrition markets. We are the number one provider of whey-based nutritional ingredients globally and the number one producer of American-style cheddar cheese. Our protein systems have transformed the bar and beverage categories — bringing increased levels of protein, cleaner labels and greater product functionality to market. We have a direct presence in 21 countries, with manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany and China, and international sales and technical offices around the world.

Responsibilitie

1. Management of the group SG&A costs, develop collection tools for the bi annual forecasting process and annual budget process.
2. Understand and drive management of the $135m of Group SG&A costs by owning and developing the KPI’S to identify key drivers and present dashboards and reports to FPA Manager.
3. Consolidate Actuals/forecasts/budget and provide analysis and variance explanations for review by senior management
4. Provide monthly commentary for monthly SG&A reporting packs.
5. Drive the documentation of internal processes for cost management and the evaluation of opportunities for continuous improvement.
6. Provide timely headcount reporting.
7. Produce monthly working capital trending reports
8. Develop and improve reporting and forecasting systems and tools on an on-going basis including regional templates for consolidation of forecast and budget process.
9. Assist with the consolidation of the GN budget and forecast P&Ls, Balance Sheet and Cashflow with comparators and explanations of volume, product/customer mix and rate variances to prior year and budget and explaining key drivers /movements / assumptions.
10. Assist in the ongoing development of the GN FP&A function within the wider finance function and its support and training of key stakeholders.
11. Liaise with the regional finance teams (US, EMEA and ASPAC) and Group finance colleagues to ensure that all global divisional and Group requirements are met.
12. Other ad-hoc work as required including supporting various group wide projects sponsored by senior management

The Skills you will bring to the team

13. Results driven individual with a minimum of 1-2 years post qualification accounting and commercial experience ideally gained in a multi-national environment.
14. Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information, combined with a strategic mind – able to see the big picture.
15. Strong written communication and reporting ability with ability to communicate to stakeholders across various levels and functions.
16. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and present to senior management.
17. Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines.
18. SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
19. Advanced Excel skills and strong Word, PowerPoint skills are essential.
20. An ability to work on their own initiative, to deadlines, within a team environment.
21. Ability to work collaboratively within a global business environment.
22. Enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better.
