Working Conditions
Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available, just let us know when you speak to us.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Head of Capability for Principal Design, you will:
* Provide CDM and BSA leadership across all design contracts within Kier Design
* Lead the development and implementation of our capability growth plan
* Collaborate with construction teams to win and successfully deliver multi-disciplinary projects
* Ensure safety by design and client satisfaction
Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include:
* Managing the delivery of the Principal Designer role as required by CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act
* Leading the preparation of fee proposals and navigating bids through governance
* Coordinating with in-house design capability leaders for effective project resourcing
* Providing technical leadership and support to design teams to ensure safe designs
* Promoting an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought and experience is encouraged
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
* You hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience
* You are a member of a professional body (ICE, CIHT)
* You have experience in CDM regulations and Building Safety Act implementation
* You are trusted to deliver what you promise, acting safely and ethically
