As a Lead Vet you will be accountable for the clinical leadership of the veterinary team ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of compliance with regulatory, operational and practice standards. The practice boasts three consult rooms, separate cat and dog wards, a fully equipped theatre with two operating tables, a prep room, in-house lab, digital X-ray, and ultrasound — giving you the tools and space to work cases up to a high standard. You’ll be supported by a fantastic nursing team, Patient Care Assistant, and a friendly front-of-house team. We’re part of a local network of Medivet practices across the Colchester region who collaborate, support each other, and share knowledge regularly. Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community. Your Skills and Experience RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon. Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills. Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture. Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
