Your tasks
* Performance of paint technician duties and deputise for paint technology coordinator when required, including occasional nightshift and weekend cover, taking appropriate decisions and cross shift communication
* Plan and organise personnel capacity for paint technician to meet customer programmed requirements. Monitor and report production KPIs, utilisation, scrap, quality, absence.
* Manage consumable stock levels and order new consumables/ equipment and external contractor control (cleaning service/ maintenance)
* Support and drive continuous improvement activities to optimise equipment and processes and conduct problem solving activities to solve quality/ process issues if they arise.
* Understand the paint technician role fully eg perform process analysis, cleaning and maintaining the process and store hazardous chemicals and other aspects of the role
* Provide training to paint technicians where required and work with other functional areas of the plant to ensure quality parts are supplied
Your Profile
* Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, preferable in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment
* Knowledge electrocoating systems/ technology and waste water treatment
* Brose applicable painting Standards/ General Paint technology awareness through industry training
* Excellent at problem solving
* Supervisory experience is advantageous
