About the Role As a Team Manager within our Adult Social Care Locality Service, you willleadthe operational delivery of a highly professional,responsiveand integrated service.You will oversee the daily management of your team, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in full accordance with the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 1983 and all relevant guidance.Your work willsupporta high‑performing, strength‑based approach, where individuals and their families receive personalised information, advice andsupporttailored to achieving positive outcomes. You will provide clear leadership, nurturing a cohesive and respectful multidisciplinary culture where staff are empowered, professionally developed andconfidentin their practice.You will ensure strong quality assurance, robust safeguarding oversight, effective resource management and service performance that consistently meets targets and standards.The role involves working collaboratively with health partners, community organisations, voluntary sector colleagues and wider stakeholders to build strong relationships and develop integrated, locallyresponsivesupportarrangements.You will also contribute to service planning, oversee complaints responses,supportinvestigations,leadstaff development initiatives and act as a key point of expertise within your locality.From time to time, you may deputise for the Service Manager and participate in duty work, including providing emergency advice. About You You will be an experienced and registered Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a deepunderstandingof legislation, statutory responsibilities and best practice relating to Adult Social Care.You will bring experience of leading social care teams, managing performance, overseeing budgets and delivering services that meet demanding standards while keeping individuals at the heart ofdecision‑making.You will beconfidentin navigating complex safeguarding arrangements, working in partnership with families and external agencies, and providing clear professional direction in challenging situations. Your leadership style will besupportive, thoughtful and accountable, withthe ability to motivate, coach and guide staff through periods of change.You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong organisational judgement, an appreciation of diversity and acommitmentto continuous improvement.You will be solution‑focused, reflective in your practice and able to positively influence outcomes at bothindividualand service level.The ability to travel between locations and a willingness to adapt to operational needs, including occasional out‑of‑hours work, are essential for this role.
