Property Manager on Duty
Serves as the property Manager on Duty and oversees all property operations during the overnight shift. Ensures the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided. Represents property management in resolving guest or property-related issues and personally assists in resolving any problems and completing tasks.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
* OR
* 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Monitoring Property Operations
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.
* Ensure all employees are in proper uniform and groomed according to standards.
* Ensure employees work in a safe environment.
* Manage all period-end inventories.
Supporting Profitability and Revenue Goals
* Review financial statements, sales, activity reports, and performance data to measure productivity, goal achievement, and identify areas for cost reduction and improvement.
* Assist in responding to and resolving guest issues.
* Assist accounts receivable in managing invoices, ensuring dues are below 60 days.
* Monitor chargebacks and rebates, researching and processing them timely.
* Implement plans to minimize chargebacks and rebates.
* Ensure proper cash handling procedures and monitor overages/shortages.
* Manage employee hours.
* Collaborate with property leadership to address and prevent guest issues.
Supporting Human Resources Activities
* Promote participation in safety programs.
* Monitor employee attendance and record absences or tardiness.
* Foster teamwork and morale.
* Keep employees informed of operational procedures and standards.
* Assist in handling employee performance issues, including reviews and counseling.
* Ensure employees understand emergency procedures.
* Encourage employee relations through events and incentives.
* Assist in processing employee payroll weekly.
