Job Summary
Our client is a trusted, ethical financial partner and we’re now looking for a Finance Administrator to join their friendly and committed Finance team. This role plays an important part in supporting the smooth running of the accounts function. You’ll help maintain accurate financial records, support month-end processes and ensure transactions are processed securely and in line with regulatory requirements.
Your work will directly contribute to the integrity of our financial reporting and the fair treatment of customers. If you enjoy structured financial work, take pride in accuracy and like being part of a collaborative team, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll support a broad range of accounting and finance administration tasks, including:
* Supporting month-end processes, including reconciliations, reporting preparation and ledger maintenance
* Ensuring all bank transactions are accurately recorded and bank accounts are fully reconciled
* Processing member transactions (inbound and outbound), ensuring payments are correctly imported and exported
* Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit-ready documentation
* Processing business expenditure in line with approved budget holder requests
* Verifying large deposits and withdrawals to help prevent financial crime
* Administering the bereavement fund with care and sensitivity
* Processing payroll deduction change requests
* Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounts and administrative tasks
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role is a must and in particular, experience of reconciliations or month-end activity, but attitude, care and accuracy matter just as much.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach
* Confidence working with financial systems, data and reconciliations
* An understanding of basic accounting principles
* A high level of integrity and respect for confidentiality
* A customer-focused mindset with a genuine desire to help members
* Ability to work well as part of a team and manage your own workload
* AAT qualifications or the willingness to work towards them
Why join?
You’ll be part of an organisation that genuinely cares about its customers, its people and the communities it serves. You’ll be supported, valued and given the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution every day.
