Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Sous Chef / Front of House Team Member to join our busy and friendly café. This is a hands-on, flexible role combining kitchen support with customer-facing responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their working day.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Head Chef with food preparation and service
* Preparing and cooking fresh food to a high standard
* Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
* Assisting with stock control, portion control, and waste management
* Providing friendly and efficient customer service front of house
* Taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring a positive customer experience
* Working as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment
About You:
* Previous kitchen experience (Sous Chef, Kitchen Assistant, or similar)
* Front of House or customer service experience preferred
* Confident with knife skills and able to work well under pressure
* Food Safety Level 2 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
What We Offer:
* Thursday & Friday: 5.30pm – 9.30pm
* Saturday: 10.00am – 4.00pm
