The Role
This is an exciting, varied role, where no two days are the same. As a Support Practitioner you will play a crucial role in supporting two young men after finishing school. You will take an active interest in their hobbies, which include day trips, traveling, going to the cinema and exploring the local area. We look for someone who can find new ways to enjoy these hobbies and learn more about the young men to help develop their interests. A full UK manual driver’s licence would be beneficial but is not essential for the right candidate.
About You
At Cornerstone we don’t recruit on experience and qualifications; we’re more interested in what you, as a person, will bring to our team! We will pay for your training and give you all the practical skills you need to build a career in the Health & Social Care sector. We’ll also fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees.

Shift Patterns
Our dedicated team provides tailored care for the young men. Shift patterns are during the day (term time) and on weekends.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy. If successful, you will need to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting employment with us.
Please note – if you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be required to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.
