Job Description
Key Duties
* Supervise day-to-day retail operations and support the Store Manager to meet sales targets.
* Lead and support staff on shift (task allocation, shift cover, basic training).
* Deliver high customer service standards and handle customer queries/complaints.
* Ensure shelves are stocked, faced up, rotated (FIFO), and promotions/prices are correct.
* Assist with ordering/replenishment and receiving deliveries; report shortages/damages.
* Oversee till operations, cash handling, refunds/voids, and end-of-day cash-up (as required).
* Maintain cleanliness, merchandising standards, and safe working practices.
* Support stock control (stock counts, waste/shrinkage prevention, reporting incidents).
* Ensure compliance with age-restricted sales and relevant retail policies.
Skills & Requirements
* Retail grocery experience preferred; supervisory/shift-lead experience desirable.
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

* Flexible to work shifts including weekends; able to undertake manual handling.
