This role is based on our secondary site in Leyland
Up to £53,835 + excellent benefits. This role is for a teacher working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem.
As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you will be supported by in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals. You will work in a well-resourced school environment and play a part in building a rewarding teaching career.
Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to pupils with ASD/SEMH, supporting pupil progress and wellbeing. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but you will be able to celebrate the "huge small victories" as students make progress.
Working with the Westmorland secondary site opening in Autumn 2024, you will contribute to the development of a purpose-built, state-of-the-art school for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 16, and support the pre-opening and construction phases as the site opens.
Requirements
• Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A can-do attitude, team player approach and the ability to relate subject knowledge to each pupil while building strong relationships with the class.
• Ability to connect with pupils and build an engaging science department, with enthusiasm and subject expertise.
