Axon Moore are working with a growing, property development business in Manchester city centre to appoint a Graduate Finance Assistant. The business is growing and has a huge pipeline of projects which will see them grow on a huge scale!
This Graduate Finance Assistant role will assist the finance team and ensure the day to day accounting transactions are recorded, and suppliers paid in a timely manner. The role will be a great starting point for any ambitious, confident grad who’s looking to become ACCA/CIMA qualified and progress in the role.
Salary and Benefits
£25,000 – £27,000 per annum DOE plus study support. Full time in the office, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and 3-5 days off between Christmas and New Year. Pension scheme, cycle to work, central location with great transport links and plenty of social events throughout the year.
Responsibilities
This role will evolve and will start off with transactional elements of finance, bringing the function in house from an outsourced accountant.
Maintain all aspects of the purchase ledger from processing invoices to making payments, liaising with the Accountant at month end.
Reconciling bank accounts.
Process all company credit card expenses, chasing receipts where necessary.
Expenses.
Assist with accounts receivable/credit control where required.
Any ad-hoc tasks as directed.
What We Are Looking For
Degree background ideally in a Finance related subject.
Experience with vlookup and pivot table functions in Excel would be beneficial.
Experience of financial processing in medium sized business would be beneficial.
Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to prioritise workloads and adhere to any given deadlines.
Self-starter who will show initiative to add value and help the team where possible.
Keen to progress in a high growth business and study to enhance their theoretical knowledge.
