This thriving South Wales manufacturer is looking to further strengthen its existing Manufacturing function, following the acquisition of a number of lucrative new contracts. Role and Responsibilities:
o Responsible for the management of projects from the enquiry stage through to manufacturing, ensuring handing over to the customer on time and to budget.
o Oversee the Design and Validation plan for New Projects and develop cost reduction programmes in line with customer needs.
o Within the APQP process be the point of contact with the customer, interface with engineering, quality, purchasing and logistics. o Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions.
o Support the Purchasing team in developing existing and new suppliers ensuring the APQP programme requirements are met
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
o Ideally hold an Engineering related Qualification : BEng / HNC / HND etc
o At least 3 years Project Management experience, able to communicate in German would be advantageous.
o Experienced in Project managing products from customer enquiry to customer handover.
