Our well established client in Peterhead is looking for a time served welder / fabricator experienced in MMA (Stick welding), MIG & TIG welding for a full time permanent position. Please note applicants must have the right to work in the UK and stay within daily commute distance to Peterhead. Responsibilities Pipework manufacturing. Steel plating work, primarily for the marine fishing industry & fishing vessel / ferry hull. Steel repairs & steel bulkhead work. All fabrication / burning work Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that may arise. Utilise basic maths skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately. Qualifications Coded Welder would be desirable but not essential as own company coding & welding procedures to be undertaken, Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles. Proficiency in working with sheet metal and various welding techniques, particularly stick welding. Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools safely. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately. Basic maths skills for calculations related to measurements and material requirements.
